日本とドイツにおける文化および社会のよりよい相互理解に特別に貢献し、学問上すぐれた業績をあげている日本の研究者に授与されるフィリップ・フランツ・フォン・シーボルト賞。
2024年度のシーボルト賞受賞者は、東京大学理学研究科カブリ数物連携宇宙研究機構(Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe)の吉田直紀教授に決まりました。おめでとうございます👏🇯🇵🇩🇪
3月中旬、2024年度シーボルト賞の審査会が駐日ドイツ大使館(ドイツ連邦共和国大使館・総領事館)で行われました。その結果、天体物理学の分野での傑出した業績により、東京大学理学系研究科およびカブリ数物連携宇宙研究機構の吉田直紀教授が今年度の受賞者に決まりました。吉田教授は、その研究業績において国際的に高い評価を受けているだけでなく、これまでドイツと日本の科学コミュニティの発展に大きく貢献されてきました。
シーボルト賞は、アレクサンダー・フォン・フンボルト財団の年次総会に合わせて6月頃に、ベルリンのベルビュー宮殿にてドイツ連邦大統領から直接授賞されます。

はじめまして!ザブリーナ・イーゼンベルクと申します。4月1日よりDAAD東京事務所およびDWIH東京でインターンとして働いています。
現在、TEACH(Transnational European and East Asian Culture and History)の大学院生として在学しています。TEACHとは、ドイツのボン大学、日本の筑波大学、そして韓国の高麗大学が共に運営しているダブルディグリー学位プログラムです。つまり、TEACH生は三つの国で学び、研究を行い、修士号二つを取得することができます。
今年の3月、第1号の修士号を取得し、筑波大学の大学院を無事に修了しました。しかしボン大学大学院を修了する前に、まず日本でインターンシップに挑戦したいと思いました。最初の一週間が経つのは早く、チーム全員が温かく迎えてくれました。
これからの6か月の間、様々な興味深いプロジェクトが予定されています。

Hallo, ich heiße Sabrina Isenberg und bin seit dem 1. April als neue Praktikantin beim DAAD/ DWIH Tokyo tätig.
Zurzeit bin ich in den trinationalen Doppelmaster-Studiengang TEACH (Transnational European and East Asian Culture and History) eingeschrieben. Als TEACH-Studentin habe ich in den vergangenen Semestern an drei unterschiedlichen Universitäten in drei Ländern studiert – der Universität Bonn in Deutschland, der University of Tsukuba in Japan und der Korea University in Südkorea.
Meinen ersten Master an der University of Tsukuba habe ich dieses Jahr im März abgeschlossen. Vor der Beendigung meines zweiten Masters in Bonn wollte ich gerne noch ein Auslandspraktikum absolvieren. Die erste Woche beim DAAD/ DWIH Tokyo liegt nun bereits hinter mir und das gesamte Team hat mich sehr herzlich aufgenommen.
Ich hoffe, dass ich mit dieser Rubrik im kommenden halben Jahr einige interessante Einblicke in meinen Arbeitsalltag in Tokyo geben kann. Es sind viele spannende Projekte geplant.
